Treatments I do / don't do

Due to the increasing numbers of patients who attend with cancers of their skin and need surgical treatment, (especially after 2 years of the covid pandemic) I am sorry to say that as of 24.1.2022 I no longer see new acne or rosacea patients. Naturally if you are a patient that I am currently looking after, I will continue to honour your appointments.

As a dermatological surgeon most of my work is with premalignant or malignant skin conditions [skin cancer].

The increasing volume of skin cancer surgery means I can no longer offer treatment for cysts or lipomas or skin tags or cosmetic removal of normal/ harmless moles. Sorry.

As such I perform

Mohs micrographic surgery for BCC, SCC, other skin cancers
Wide local excision of malignant melanoma, basal cell and sqaumous cell carcinomas
Non-Mohs surgery for skin lesions
Removal of suspicious moles
Biopsy or excisions of moles
Shave biopsy, shave excision
Cryotherapy of actinic keratoses
Cryotherapy of warts
Curettage and cautery of skin lesion

Photodynamic therapy for basal cell carcinoma, Bowens disease [intraepidermal carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma-in situ], actinic keratoses.

As of 3.6.17 - I no longer perform any laser treatment on the NHS or privately.

I no longer do any private practice laser treatment for cosmetic reasons.

Chemical peels
Treatment of acne scarring
Thread veins treatment
Xanthelasma
Syringoma treatment
Mole mapping
Scar revision or any scar treatment
Any sort of laser treatment
Cysts, lipomas, skin tags

I have dedicated the past 20 years to skin lesion / skin cancer / diagnosis and treatment.
